Madonna of Black Butte Candle

Artwork by Devanna Wolf. The Madonna stands before Black Butte, a cinder cone of Mt Shasta, with roses and Shasta lilies at her feet. She is the one who brings courage and protection in hard times, and defends the oppressed. Goddess image is on a red candle, symbolising the womb blood of motherhood. Proceeds from the sale of this artwork support the Priestess Scholarship Fund of the Mt Shasta Goddess Temple, providing pilgrimages for women who would otherwise not be able to access sacred travel.
