The Sacred Well offers personal and group retreats in and around magical Mt Shasta, CA, just a 4-hour drive north of the Bay Area, or one-hour south of the Oregon border. Our local landscape features a majestic 14,000-foot snow-capped mountain, the purity of fresh, healing spring waters, and the peace of the Shasta National Forest. During your retreat, you will be guided in ceremonial activities and self-discovery exercises by facilitator Yeshe Matthews. For over a decade, Yeshe has been providing transformational, empowering retreats and ceremonies for women and all-gender groups in the US and overseas.
The Sacred Well arranges private retreats for individuals, couples, and small groups. Connect with us to discuss your ideal dates and themes for your retreat. We create special, memorable experiences for couples, friends, sanghas, spiritual sisterhoods, leadership teams, bridal showers, coming-of-age ceremonies, elopements, and anniversaries.
Sacred Well retreats are designed to accommodate 9 people at most. The small group setting facilitates harmony, spaciousness, and individual attention for each participant. Expect time to slow down when you arrive. Turn off your phone, breathe the clean mountain air, and begin to unwind. Make a cup of tea, pick an oracle card, and find your center. Nutritious breakfast is served daily, honoring a variety of dietary needs and using the freshest ingredients. Otherwise, choose from local restaurants or markets to sample local fare.
Bring a camera, sturdy shoes, and an empty glass bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid so that you can gather some crystal-clear mountain water to drink or for use in ceremony. If you'd like to prolong the experience after Sunday check-out (for most retreats around 11am), you can head to town and shop at the local crystal and gem stores, get a massage, or visit a healing spring.
Yeshe is an experienced, ordained minister who has been performing weddings since 2004. She works with each couple to create a personal, meaningful experience that reflects their personalities, values, and style. Whether you are planning an elopement, a small wedding with a few family and friends, or a large event, Yeshe can help you plan a gorgeous, heart-centered experience. She will bring grace and ease to questions you might have about blending traditions, family dynamics at the event, how much or how little religious imagery to use in your wedding ceremony, and more. She can also offer practical advice about local businesses and service providers in the Mt Shasta area. Yeshe also provides other rites of passage, including coming of age ceremonies, baby and new home blessings, fertility and pregnancy rites, and memorials. Contact for pricing and details.
